We are proudly announcing “Clara Brown” is now docked at the Wharf’s Commercial Cove, just footsteps away from the original Dug’s Dive.
She is a unique vessel, one of a kind, designed by one of Americas most prominent naval architects, John G Alden (Alden designs), we have a copy of the original drawing, which later will be displayed inside our Floating Classroom, (soon to be built).
Her design and construction was made 1950 in Maine by Goudy & Stevens. She was given the name “Clara Brown” after a freed slave who searched and found her lost daughter. What a fitting tribute to Buffalo’s heritage related to the Underground Railroad, to dock this vessel just opposite the original site of Dug’s Dive!
She is available for special occasions only, call 716-432-6589 for information and inquiries
