Free Sailing For Kids. A Sail Buffalo Sailing School Program
Free sailing lessons to children ages 7 – 17! Spend your Saturday mornings with Sail Buffalo.
After the success and popularity of the program in 2009 and 2010, we are proud to offer sailing lessons for children age 7 – 17 once again on Saturday mornings. Thanks to our partnership with the Western New York Maritime Charter School and the support of Buffalo Place and Erie Canal Harbor Development this program will be offered for FREE.
Kids can spend their Saturday mornings learning important lessons through sailing. Weather permitting, students can enjoy a sailing adventure on Lake Erie, giving them a chance to steer the boat, trim the sails, and begin a life long interest in the outdoors.
Please bring a completed “Parental Permission Form” which can be printed from the link below.
Please note: WE MEET AT 1 NAVAL COVE, THE COMMERCIAL WHARF- next to the Naval Museum
We plan on starting in July and end in August, see schedule below. First come, first serve, this is mainly for children who has never been “out there”. If we have space available, of course anyone is welcome back.
