Sail Buffalo Sailing School has been based out of Lake Erie’s shorelines for over 6 years and strives to make sailing affordable, accessible and fun for everyone!
Our belief is that Learning Centers creates participants. Being on the water is a truly transformational experience for most people, for that reason we seek to create a Nautical Day Camp.
We run American Sailing Association certification courses starting with Basic Keelboat 101 through 105 on weekends, weekdays and weekday evenings from May to October. Demand is calling for more courses and programs year-round.
American Sailing Association has been certifying students and instructors longer than any organization in the United States, and is recognized by schools, clubs and charter companies around the world.
ASA is endorsed as an official licensing program in the U.S. by the National Association of Boating Administrators and the United States Coast Guard.
Additional courses may include Weather, Flotilla Sailing, Educational Waterfront Tours, Local History and Local Waterways. We are researching Powerboat Courses.
Head Instructor is Captain Pierre Wallinder, an ASA Instructor since 2004. Other credentials include: Yacht-Master PZB, Past Trustee/Maritime Chair, WNY Maritime Charter School, currently the Provider for On-The-Water Training (since 2007)
